When you think of restaurants, you don't automatically think of the need for robust networks and cabling.
Whether it is computer booking systems, point-of-sale machines, or remote card payment devices, these have to work alongside other IP technologies such as IP cameras, access control devices, AV & speaker systems, Building Management System (BMS), blinds and shutters, not to forget, of course, Wireless Access Points (Wi-Fi).
Add into the mix the fact that your restaurant brand is elevated with a Michelin Star in one of London’s well-known boroughs, and the requirement for reliability becomes even more critical for customer experience.
We recently completed such an installation in Westminster, London, as part of a refit project on Park Lane.
Due to the desired brand experience, we worked with the contractors to ensure suitable cabling and routing were out of sight behind the handmade Italian plaster and marble walls.
The unique project environment, with multiple trades working simultaneously, presented a challenge that required precise design, coordination, and execution. Our team’s expertise ensured that the artisan craftsmen in place did not need to redo any of their work, demonstrating our commitment to quality and efficiency on site.
Working as part of a wider project team, we also ensured that our knowledge and expertise were shared upwards, something we are always keen to do. The contractors explicitly highlighted our high levels of ownership and responsibility in terms of coordination, communication, timely reporting, and the highest levels of quality with our installation.
