This Privacy Notice:

Forms part of and supports our ISO27001 Certification (which encompasses GDPR being the General Data Protection Regulations)  which specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving our information security management and privacy system within the context of the organisation.

Data Controller

When we collect and use your personal (subject) data, Royce Communications will be the data controller.

As a data controller Royce must:

  • Tell you what we are doing with your information including but not limited to: who we may share it with and what our lawful basis for processing is.

  • Only keep your information for as long as we need to.

Collection and Storage of Personal Data?

For some of our services we need to use your personal information so we can support a service you have asked for. The main example for Royce are contractual to service your (our client) business.

There are laws that says we must or we can process your personal information and we can do so without your consent or permission.

We will only collect as much information as we need to in order to provide the service you have asked for. In some cases we will just need a name and contact details.

Using your Personal Data

We will use your data to:

  • Provide services as required by yourself through contractual commitment
  • Provide information as governed by law.
  • Legal reasons i.e. prevention of fraud.
  • Tell you about Royce services

In order to comply with Data Protection Act and GDPR, we have to be able to identify a lawful basis for processing your data.

Who will we, or might we, share your data with?

We share your data between:
a) Royce Communications personnel only and
b) As required under contract to a third party – but only in the context of servicing a client request or
contract i.e. for your (the data subject) product warranty purposes

We do not share or sell your data to any party other than the above paragraph.

Under certain Laws we will share due to legal obligations, your data with other organisations i.e. police, courts

We will only do this where we have a lawful reason to.

Transfer of Data

Your data is currently held within the UK. We will always make sure that your data is held in the UK or within the European Economic Area (EEA), in compliance with data protection law.

Your Rights

You can ask to see what data we hold about you and ask to be sent a copy. This is called “Subject Access”. From 25 May 2018 “subject access” requests will be free of charge unless there is reasonable cause to charge, due to the nature and/or volume and/or technical aspect of work required to fulfil your access request, for which we are allowed to charge a reasonable fee for.

Under legislation you can also ask us to:

  • Correct your data if you think it is wrong
  • Stop using your data if you think we should no longer be using it
  • Stop using your data if you think it is inaccurate, until it’s put right
  • Ask that no automated processing (‘Computer says no!’) takes place with your data
  • Ask for any automated portable electronic data file we hold on you to be sent to another organisation; or
  • Consider any complaint you have about how we have used your data

If we are processing your data just with your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
